MENTAL HEALTH (CHILD & ADOLESCENT) PROVIDER WAITING LIST
For the Week of May 13, 2013.

The Mental Health Network of Lorain County shows these conditions to exist at the following provider agencies: The following agencies report that they have no more than a fourteen day wait for these respective services:
  • Mental Health Assessment Appointments for Children & Adolescents: Nord Center*, Pathways, Applewood, Guidestone and Bellefaire JCB.
  • Mental Health Counseling Appointments for Children & Adolescents: Pathways, Applewood, Bellefaire JCB.
  • Intensive Home-Based Treatment for Children & Adolescents: Beech Brook reports the shortest wait.
  • Pharmacological Management Appointments for Children & Adolescents: Nord Center reports the shortest wait.

  • Nord Center reports availability of walk-in appointments for all listed services on Monday-Thursday. Potential walk-in clients must be at Nord by 9:30AM for Walk-In appointments on the NEXT DAY.
* Indicates that SPANISH SPEAKING PROVIDERS ARE AVAILABLE. (Nord Center offers bilingual psychiatry through the use of an interpreter. Firelands offers bilingual services through a bilingual clinician.)

Applewood reports a 3 week wait for Parent Management Training. This is a research supported treatment for oppositional children. It is implemented by a clinician with parents. No group involvement is required. Contact: Crystal Walker at (440) 324-1300.

Services are offered in their offices at 347 Midway Blvd., Suite 200, Elyria, OH. Services are also offered at the client’s home and within the community as well as within schools.

YOUTH SERVICES:

Mental Health Assessment, Outpatient Counseling, Pharmacological Management, CPST, Psychological Testing, Intensive Home Based Treatment, Lorain Substance Abuse/Mental Health Treatment (LSA/MH) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Mental Health Prevention groups are offered for children and their caregivers.
